about
Katharina Scheuba
is a quadrilingual actress and medical doctor born in Vienna, Austria. She spent part of her high school and Uni time in the USA as well as in Belgium, where she picked up her American English and French.
Katharina originally studied medicine at the Medical University of Vienna, where she graduated with honors and earned her doctoral degree in 2019.
In 2020 she moved to New York City to pursue her dream of acting. Katharina made her acting debut in the Austrian Indie Film ‘Dinner for Eight” (Dinner für Acht, 2021) by Bernhard Ratka, where she took on the lead role, followed by another lead role in the German Indie Film ‘The Dark Girl’ (2022), which earned the Camgaroo Award 2023. In her first international production, the US-action-thriller “Gringo Hunter” by Rubén Islas, she played an American detective and proceeded to act alongside Graham McTavish and Susie Porter in the UK Indie Film “Dirty Boy” (2024), that premiered at the Raindance Filmfestival 2025 in London.
In 2024, Katharina took on the protagonist role of Maxi Saalfeld in the 21st season of the internationally successful German ARD-Telenovela “Sturm der Liebe” (Storm of Love), which is broadcast in over 20 countries and brought Katharina into the media spotlight as a new, rising talent.
Katharina is currently shooting for another long-running ARD-favorite, the German comedy-crime series ‘Hubert Ohne Staller’, as part of the main cast.
Next to acting, Katharina has also made a name for herself as a writer, earning one of the few spots in the ÖFI-sponsored mentorship-program ‘Diverse Geschichten’ with her pilot screenplay for a historical drama-series.
